Morton, Il CISGA Steel Jam 08

Post by Rich Mounce »

“STEEL JAM 08” will be Sun. June 29 at the Best Western Ashland House in Morton, Il. The time for the show will be from 12:00 noon until 9:00 pm and feature some of the finest players we have ever put together. Our featured artist for this year will be Joe Wright. We had Joe two years ago and have had many requests to bring him back so we are doing so. We are also happy to announce we will be having our good friend Don E Curtis on the show again this year. I hope each of you will tell all of your friends and let’s have the best turnout yet to watch the great Joe Wright live. Joe is not only a fantastic player but as you all know he puts on one outstanding show to go along with his playing.

CISGA members receive this show free as part of our members package. General public will be $12.00 at the door.

For more information contact Rich Mounce at mounce@hotmail.com or visit one of our websites and we hope to see everyone in Morton, Il on Sun June 29!

This is a great event

Great sound, good food, vendors, and a great room. The facility is surrounded by restaurants, hotels and right off route 74 in Morton near the Crackel Barrell.

Everyone plan on coming this year and listen to a great band and Don Curtis and Joe Wright!!!

By the way, I will have my booth there with Hilton Pedals and accessories and George L products and a used PX300, new S101 guitars for sale in the style of Telecasters and Stratocasters(special pricing).

Getting Excited!

Post by Don E. Curtis »

Thanks for having me Rich. It's been a few years and I'm really looking forward to it. Don't know why I deserve 45 minutes though...do you know how many times I have to play Crazy Arms to make 45 minutes?
See you there with Steels on,

You guys sure know how to open a steel show. With the "Internationally Infamous" B String Dobbins to kick it off, its got to be good. Will he be playing his 9 string E9th?

Seriously, I hope you have a great show. I just wish gas wasn't so expensive, or I would be there just to abuse Dino.

R...There is no doubt that everyone enjoys abusing Dino. He is just that kind of guy...LOL...

We know the gas situation and definitely understand what you are saying. We are giving away a gas card to some lucky person to help out a little.

Don...Was great being on your show last night. I appreciate you having me. Look forward to seeing you Sun!.
