New Riders Of The Purple Sage '08

I just got back from seeing New Riders of The Purple Sage perform live at Indian Crossing in Waupaca, Wisconsin tonight June 21. This is the new lineup touring for summer 08, featuring original members David Nelson on guitar and vocal, Buddy Cage on pedal steel, with newer members Michael Falzarano (Hot Tuna) on guitar and vocals, Ronnie Penque (Stir Fried) on bass and vocals and Johnny Markowski (Stir Fried) on drums and vocals.

I would just like to comment that the guys pulled off a very professional performance tonight. It was outstanding. I was very impressed with the sound, the musicianship, the song writing (old and new) and the energy. This was a great show, these guys are moving forward… If you’re a fan, try to see the current show… you will not be disappointed.
