The PA-50 and -100 seem to be the ones to have when it comes to compact power amplifiers for rack, or perhaps a powered speaker enclosure. Is there anything to compare with them or are they two of a kind?

I prefer the higher octane PA-200, one in each speaker cab.

Just bought two of them on ebay for under $150 each.

The PA-200's also have knobs for the level controls, and 1/4" inputs and outputs. The PA-100's have slots in the controls to adjust with a screwdriver.

I have a quick question. I have a PA-200. Would it run cool enough if I mounted it in the back of a closed back speaker cabinet? Thanks for any advice.

Robert, it would probably depend on how hard you pushed it. If it got too hot it would just shut down until it cooled off, which would not be a good situation playing live. If the cabinet was ported it would help. Try it and see what happens.

Darvin, Thanks for reply. That answers my question. I need to put the power amp in an open back cabinet or in a rack.
