Aloha International -- Upcoming Convention

Post by Warren Slavin »

To all interested:

The upcoming convention of Hawaiian Steel Guitarist is soon -- July 17,18,19, 2008. This is an annual event in Winchester, Indiana and as in past events will be a great convention. As stated in prior posts, Eddie Palama, Paul Kim, Bobby Ingano are guests from Hawaii. Duke Ching, Herbert Hanawahine and Bernie Endaya will also be there. And last but not least L T Zinn, our favourite Haole Steel player will be there with his inimitable style and playing skills. Check out the Website: www.alohainternationalsgc.org (Membership and Convention Reservation pages are listed).

Warren,

No doubt in my mind with this playing cast that it
is destined to be a great convention.

All of these guys play the authentic soulful Hawaiian style.

I am looking forward to it along with attending
L T Zinn's workshop which is always informative.

There is always a big surprise at this convention. What will it be this year :?:

See you there!!

Aloha, :)

Looks like it will be a great convention. I wish I could attend. :(

Love the website, it's got a great, funky feel and I love the music that plays on each page. Great examples of the Hawaiian style.

Chris,
Some year I'll get out there!
How about this year, why procrastinate and miss out on all the good fun.

Bill you need to break the ice and get on that airplaine and head to Winchester as soon as possible for first Winchester experience. You are missing out on a lot of fun.

This is a small town environment and it is very easy to move your car from one end of town to the other without a traffic jam. :P Just think about the relaxation you can have! ;-)

Aloha, :)

Everyone should pay a visit to LT's website. It is nicely designed.

There are some informal video clips of LT playing some Hawaiian tunes- Keep Your Eyes on the Hands, U'a Like No a'like - Punch Here

LT videos at the ISGC Hawaiian Gathering in St Louis

Here are some of his CD's.

Aloha, :)

Mahalo nui Warren and Don. The video of LT is just the ticket to put us in the Aloha International mood. You probably shouldn't mention that Winchester may be the best example of small town America left in the country, or that traffic jam might become a reality. javascript:emoticon('')
