Rack mount tuner with in + out in back and inst. in on front panel
Midi verb 3

Thanks

Steel to the volume pedal in - tuner out (pedal)to tuner in (tuner) - volume pedal out to midi-verb in - midi verb out to NV 400.

Good luck.

Tim,
Thanks for the response...would I gain any performance by utilizing the pre eq patch circuitry ?

Joe,

I am not sure what the NV amps have for patch connections, but if it is like the Session you can use the VP connections and put the reverb between the pre and power amp. I don't recall exactly how they are labeled, but it should be easy to figure out.

My experience is that there is no major tonal advantage to using them (patch jacks). I look at it this way: You are adding more wire and connections to the circuit which can just as easily have an adverse effect on tone. Having said that, the midi-verb will probably work better if it is patched into the back of the amp. Shocked

I would play around and see what works and sounds best to you. I seem to get what I am looking for with running my steel through the VP to the amp and use the internal reverb. It just sounds right to me.

Others may not agree, but that's why there are so many options out there.

I would put the tuner and Midiverb in the effects loop.
Use the tuners mute to cut the signal when tuning. Tuners like a preamplified signal and so do time based effects like the Midiverb. Tuner before the verb.
