73 from KC5W
I have been a ham since the early 70s and used to work a lot of CW and 10, 15 meters. For a long while I was a member of Navy MARS. These days steel guitar and computer leave little time for my amateur radio activity.
My call is KC5W. 73

Rig Back on the air
Well I finally got the Rig back on the air. Do any of you operate any PSK or RTTY? Since I live in a neighborhood that does not allow antennas, I have one up that so far has gone undetected. Looking forward to a few QSO's.

Howdy from WB8PJZ. ( We Bought eight PaJama Zippers) More active on the radio than steel guitar, but enjoy both, I'm chief engineer at Clear Channel Lima so get to broadcast to. Some one earlier stated that with the internet why have a radio? Back in Feb 2005, we had a rather large ice storm in our area, Ran on the generator for five and a half days. Lets see, the cable was out, the internet was out,etc..... but the radios worked great! Just my 2.5 cents worth. 73,Dave

Hi! I hosted my radio show about 17 years, nine years at commercial and eight at 'government's' radio station. Never did amateur radio stuff. Here's some archive hours of my 'ILMAHELID' (sounds of the world): http://vikerraadio.err.ee/kuularhiiv?saade=26&kid=70

Thanks so much for the kind words, Mike!Mike Hoover wrote:Johnne, I love that slogan at the bottom of your QSL card. It not only fits Ham Radio, but life itself, good attitude. 73's de WB5AOC Mike
I'm sure that 'slogan' has been used before, but I have no idea how it crossed my mind. Some ham probably adopted it from somewhere when the first round of licensing changes occurred years ago. I probably just overheard it in a 'ragchew' and it stuck in my head over the years! I think it's apropos to the Amateur Radio Service now, for sure!
Actually, I think it is also apropos to PSG playing in general, and the SGF in particular. ; -]
Thanks again,
