My Nashville 1000 has a problem, I will be playing along an all of a sudden there will be a noise that sounds like a basketball game buzzer. I can turn it off an back on an it will quit, also I can smack the amp an it will quit. This would be great if I needed this buzzer at a basketball game but I don't. The amp keeps working even with the buzzing sound. Any body got an idea what it is, I have not done nothing to the amp it is just like it came from the factory.

Search for the post about cleaning the "gap" for the voice coil in your speaker as it sounds like your having this problem due to crud getting in there.
It's an easy fix, costs nonthing and usually fixes this type of problem in Black Widow speakers.

Is there a cell phone near the amp?
I have heard this sound caused by my cell phone placed on or near the amp. |

If it's my amp it's probably calling to bring in a sub after I've committed my 4th foul.....
"now entering the set in place of Jon Light......" |

I should mention this is not a low distortion buzzer sound, this is pretty loud. You would swear you was at a basketball game. It will keep going even if you stop playing.

Norris, I pulled your amp yesterday like I said that I would. I'm not sure that it was sent directly to my attention, otherwise it will be placed in line for repair. Unless otherwise noted, we work on a first come, first serve basis.
Thanks for choosing Peavey. |
