David, this is the best news I have heard in a while. I would love to buy all your backing tracks with any tab available. To see many of your beautiful arrangements and speed runs tabbed out would be a huge learning tool for many of us.Thanks for all your contribution to your fellow steelers, Jim

Picking technique

Post by Charles Curtis »

David if I was over there, I'd want a lesson from you just to get a close up of your picking technique. For example, picking 3,l,4,5, just to get started. I use my middle finger quite a bit, but I think I could get on with what you do; and what you do really interests me on that Rains. IMO, everyone has their own style, just as everyone's brain, when in neuro-surgery has to be mapped by the surgeon (really guys I'm not losing it), because they "ain't" all identical, or that's what I have gleaned on PBS. I've been intrigued by the different hand positions of, for example, Lloyd, Jay Dee, Weldon, Buddy to mention a few. I just believe that this is such a salient contribution to playing one of these beasts. Of course I'd want to transfer this technique to an Emmons PP.

HI David;
Please include rythm guitar chords (for backing tracks) in your TAB.
I like THE BLAME and ORANGE BLOSSOM SPECIAL.
Selling thru PayPal is a great Idea.

Not everybody would take the time to do this. My hat is off to you Dave.

I am also looking forward to get whaterver you tab out. I like Singing The Blues by the way. I don't know if anybody mentioned that one.
