It's not easy to run Windows programs on a Mac. Other than that, it's pretty nice. I use a Mac laptop at home, and the Forum server is a Mac. A friend of mine runs her small (non-computer) business on an iMac.

The built-in applications for music and photos are really good, in my opinion.

I've a MacBook for about 12 months. It is way better than my old Dell laptop.......Less viruses, quicker, more intuitive and much more stable.

Mac's now use Intel chips so the hard drive can be partitioned to run both Mac OS and Windows. I've not run Windows as I've never felt limited by the Mac interface......but my wife has (she's a computer technician) w/o any problems.

....best computer move I've ever made.

I recently bought a MacBook Pro. I like OSX a lot. Obviously there's some getting used to, but lots of similarities as well.

The one thing little user interface thing that I'd point out to somebody new is that hitting the red button on the top left does not fully close a program. You have to go to (Program_Name) > Quit. There's other ways as well.

If there's a light under the icon on the dock, the program is still open.

Smaller programs get installed simply by dragging them into the Applications folder. Larger ones have the usual "Install Wizard" that Windows programs do. All programs can be uninstalled simply by dragging their icon from the Applications folder into the trash.

A lot of stuff (like uninstalling apps) is refreshingly easy compared to Windows.

Oh..this is THE BIG ONE. The stock Apple keyboard & mouse are crap in my opinion. This is my favorite:
