I Fall To Pieces....David Hartley...YouTube...

Post by David Hartley »

Hi all, I just had time to record this before John Russell came over for his lesson tonight.

Keith White is doing 'Nights in White Satin' tomorrow for you all!

Gorgeous lush and vibrant playing as always.. Just flawless.. David I am not one given to superlatives, but I must say you sound as good to me [and I have been playing a LONG time] as many of the "greats"..Most have nothing on you as far as tone, touch ,taste, time and technique.

If you were here in the states, your name would be up there right alongside all the "big guns" of steel guitar.. You should be out there with the big names in country music as a showcased steel player.. Many I have heard, even those with the biggest stars, are on no higher ability level than yours, and most are probably not even at your skill level.
You are really an extremely talented steel player and all around musician... bob
I'm over the hill and hittin'rocks on the way down!

no gear list for me.. you don't have the time......

David -

EXCELLENT per usual!

Question: What is the source for your backing tracks? They've all been wonderful and I've been looking for a means other than BIAB. Even entertained the thought of composing a score for Cakewalk software. Will do it if necessary.

Respectfully,

Richard

Another steller performance, David. Bob C. said it very well - your talent and ability are up there with the top players today! What type of delay are you using? Your tone is super clean, yet full and expressive. Larry J.

You are truely a steel guitarist who we can all revere Dave. You, without a doubt in my mind, rate right up there with Emmons, Green, and all the rest of the big name steelers.

You have reached a level on the steel guitar that 95% of us can never hope to attain.

St Louis Convention

Post by Bill Stroud »

Someday at St Louis (at one of the conventions) it would be great to hear him play a show there, I think one day it will happen.
But I know there's a lot of guys in line waiting to get on, but there is always hope.
Great job David keep on picking >>>><<<<<

There are some great steel players and you are definately one of them. Too bad Jerry Byrd can't hear you now...he would be paying you a compliment.
