Cris, The Time Jumpers play each Monday night at the Station Inn on 12th ave. downtown. We play from 9:00 - 11:15 or so.
Then your only five minutes from all the happenings on lower Broadway.

Who's playing the ET Record Shop/Midnight Jamboree that night?
Always a good place to go, if you have nothing to do at midnight, and it's free. Real close to the Nashville Palace, too.

Cool idea, I was planning on hitting the ET shop anyway to find some stuff that you could NEVER find up here. Not only can I not hear real country on the radio, it's hard to buy it in a store around here.

Chris the jam is not at the record shop on Broadway ,it's out by the Palace.

The ET record shop , for me , is a disappointment. Yes you can find a few Steel albums here and there in a very small section of the store, and you may even find a Country section with a few older CD's but it is not like it was many years ago.

If you go downtown there are many clubs on Broadway which you should visit 'cause you will hear some great pickers..And as Mike states below, these are not the only clubs in Nashville but there are several side by side which makes it easy to visit several in a short period of time.

Tony, I disagree with you on the Record Shop. There is loads of great COUNTRY music in there and both stores have a great staff. Both stores are still worthy of carrying the ET name, IMHO.

Mike of course not all the clubs are downtown, but if one is to go downtown on Broadway the clubs are a nice place to see some good players. If you look above at an earlier post I also recommended the Palace as I do to anyone I talk to about Nashville.

There are many many fine places to hear live music and steel players in Nashville, Broadway is I think a nice place to visit where you cans see and hear a bunch of bands in several clubs and it doesn't cost anything except for the tips, which we should all do.

OK, the ET record shop has a lot of stuff but it is not what it used to be..I take back some of it..

Terry I did see Thom Shepard at Legends not to long ago and with him was Jason Jordan on Tele'. Will he be playing side by side with you as well ?

It is likely you might have Tony. I am told the guitar player on the Legands Corner gig is named Jason Jordan. I would highly suggest that you try to catch Bart Hanson when you come into town as well. I am playing with him this Saturday Oct. 5 at the Stage 2-6 and at Wolfy's 6-10 (on Broadway) and they do the Coolest Old Country of most anyone! I am subbing for a friend named Jay Andrews (thanks Jay) All fun pickin! Look forward to seeing anyone who comes out!

That is 6-10PM -- at Wolfy's --- and I believe Mr. John Hughey is at Legands Corner that night from 6-10PM right across the street!

Hey Terry..Funny you should mention Bart Hanson. When we were at Legends not all that long ago he was doing the 2 PM set which was followed by Thom Shepard. We stayed for both
shows and had a great time. I met Jay Andrews who was playing Steel with Bart and James Mitchell who is one kick butt guitar player also playing with Bart. Jason Jordan was playing guitar with Thom as was Fed Newell on Steel. Now I'll be careful when I say this, being a Steel player and all..I would make the trip back to see both James Mitchell and Jason Jordan in a New York Minute...even though I live in the Carolina's. Should I be graced with a couple of fine steel players as well then that would just be the cats meow.

Maybe I'll get lucky and catch you one of these times.

Missed the tape tonight TP but I am happy to say I met Chris (Fri.) and (I believe) Jerry (their guitar player)? (Hope that's correct Chris) and it was very nice visiting with you. Mike Johnson was at Wolfy's and LN was picking steel with Bart, Damon, Joel and Deanna! Kicking butt -they were... just ask Chris. But, you can come sometime soon... can't you Tony? Image

GBY'all

PS - Nice to see Mike Johnson and his wife out there too! Shorty Rogers - oh... and even Joe Nichols sang!
