NEWBIE `S FIRST AXE!!!

Hi all ,I`ve been hiding here for a couple years now as a guest, finally became a member a month ago.Posted here about nor cal players/instructors,great response.Jim Gray and Don Fong hooked me up with this beauty,a Thomas D10 with 8 pedals and 7 knees,kind of an ultimate starter rig don`t ya think

.I`m not a musician but hope to become a decent PSG player.hope the pics upload ok they were taken with a cell phone.

PS: I haven`t cleaned this thing up yet ,this is "as purchased" condition.

Hey Joe .I`ve been addicted since I was little ,listening to my dads records of Ernest Tubb,Hank sr.,Ray Price etc.Love the range and crying ability of a steel,nothing better.

don, that's a great steel! you're lucky...don and jim are very nice people, and jim can show you pretty much any lick anyone has done...i need to pick his brain myself!

Wow! Nice to have a "starter rig" that'll actually last you a lifetime! That's a great guitar.

Say hi to Jim and Don Fong for me. I've no clue if either will remember me. I got my first why-did-I-ever-get-rid-of-it???? JCH from Don. (And doesn't/didn't Jim have an orange JCH?)

Anyhow, looks like you got an amazing guitar right off the bat. Don't be like the rest of us idiots - hang onto it!

And Chris is right, Jim can show you pretty much everything that anyone else has played. He just forgot to mention that he (Chris) can show you cool things you'll also want to play that are completely unique to his playing.

chris b....still miss you! i regularly think about jim's jch...an early model, orange mica with white fretboards...i always lusted after it..and your jch's, and legrande..and jim's thomas...and mullen...and carter...and...my early favorite of his was a beautiful 10 pedal emmons pp aqua blue he was playing back in the cowtown of orangevale days.
...not to mention jimmy fox's old pp emmons..what ever happened to him?

Hey Don you said she was a beauty. That was a under statment. You have got a great guitar and you will not have to upgrade in the next 10 years. LOL If you ever do find a need to let her go. Hi Roy ,didn`t I mention that with all those strings it makes a great cell phone antenna,also helps with hands free calls -foot dial /knee hang up
