I am wondering if a lot of the steel players are raising the second string on the E9th, the D# to E. The pull sure makes a nice sound. |

I have it on the same lever that pulls the 1st string. F#-G# and Eb-E real good move together RKL

The great Mike Johnson uses this very tastfully, I use it occassionally for taste also. |

Russ Hicks uses it and I beleive he uses a floor pedal for that chng.Raise the e along with it slide up 3 steps and let her rip. |

Re: this 2nd string raise...does it offer anything musically (on it's own, that is)? Seems like it's just duplicating what's already there on the 4th string E lower knee lever. |
