This is a Good & Worthy Event!
Remember that While You are enjoying This Great And Historical Show. That The Money You Spend There is Going For The Benefit of the Shriners Childrens Hospitals. Thats The reason All of those guys are there working their butts off,to separate you from your money to contribute it to our kids.
From the folks working in the kitchen to the pickers on the stage. It Takes a joint effort of many to make all of this happen.
This has been going on 4 times a year for 21 years and I see no end to it. The Saluda Shrine Club has produced more steel guitar Shows Than Anybody in history.
The Georgia Steel Guitar Association has stood beside the Saluda Shrine Club since the Start and Supported this show way above and beyond the call of duty. Lots of Folks come from Several states to make all of this happen.
So if you want to have some fun and do some good at the same, Go To Saluda, Saluda?, Yes Saluda, A little Sleepy South Carolina Town, Where Something Good Happens 4 weekends A year.

Very well said Mr Floyd.
But you left out the most important group..the fans that come and support the shows..without which we would be 'picking for the band',,,
The fans in that area have been very loyal, and supportive of the Saluda shows all these many years. And we all thank them for their efforts to be there each time.
And yes , the many ,many people that it takes to produce these shows, food preparers, and servers, door-keepers,sound techs, and the myriad of pickers, and support people, is an attestment to the dedication and determination of this club, and group of dedicated people to bring to the fans ,a quality, and entertaining show.
And the main beneficiary are those kids, and the Shriners Hospital that supports them, to help bring to their lives wellness, and comfort, and hopefully, good health and a happier life.
I thank the club for allowing me to be a small part of their efforts, and I especially thank all the fans and supporters for their dedication and support these many years..Kudos to all of you..
RP...'come on in'...

Saluda Show
I hope to see all of my friends at Saluda next weekend. I have been doing this show for 19 years and I try to make everyone I can. I will also have the new Mullen Herby Wallace Model G2 guitar if anyone would like to try it out.

I agree that the fans are very Important for the success of any function. However without the extroadinary effort and sacrifices made by the many great players and the many unsung heroes, (the workers in the background,) Fans wouldn't be there.. I personally know of one brother that has pawned valued equipment to which he later lost to afford the almost 500 mile trip where he proudly donated his time and efforts...Even when he came upon hard times himself he felt a duty to be there contributing...Sometimes its those that have the least that give the most..Its for the Kids..

Saluda Show
Looking forward to a fun day on Sunday. This is always a good show with great people. I wish it was closer but it is worth the drive. John Floyd, sure would like to see you sometime.

Lookin' forward to it, Wayne. Seeing you, I mean. Dealing with the moron is NOT my idea of a fun Saturday night! I guess if I start now, I can get him washed up by Saturday. I've been tying him on top of the Pathfinder, and going through the car wash. Works pretty good, but he HATES that color rinse...

Fortunately, Roger, you guys will not have to deal with the moron, unless you come Saturday night. By Sunday, the moron will be back on his meds.
And, Rob, you guys from Georgia, ANYBODY that's got to drive any distance at all---A very hearty THANK YOU from us, the Saluda Shrine Club, and the hospitals that we're all doing this for. It's an honor, and a privilege, to get to be part of this. I feel like I've done good, for a dobro player.
THANKS AGAIN!!!

Unfortunately, Tommy and I won't make it this time.
But, I send my love and THANKS for all you do to make the show fun and inviting! Great job for the children!!
I pray that everyone's journey will be safe - oh, and Brett, we will miss seeing you this time, sweetie!!! Give my best to your mom and dad!
Steve, I know you are brushing up on your Spanish, so I just want to say "¡Steve, usted es el hermoso hombre!"
No, really!
