Hi all,
This is my take on "Sing Sing Sing" of Benny Goodman.
I am not a Jazz player, but I felt like doing this timeless tune.
Has someone done it on steel guitar?.
That would be fantastic to listen to.
I hope you don't find my version too corny.

The video is of better quality on my website but you
might find it longer to download.
"Sing Sing Sing"
Anyway, I felt like playing it. I play 2 guitar harmony lines in the backing track.
Regards,
Abel |

Louis Prima wrote "Sing, Sing, Sing." He had been at the track with Bing Crosby and while driving home he started writing a song called "Sing, Bing, Sing." He changed it to "Sing, Sing, Sing," Benny Goodman recorded it w/ Gene Krupa and the rest is history. If you have Netflix, rent the outstanding biography on Louis Prima which has footage of Prima's dynamite version. |

Abel,
I've heard that song a lot at swing dances (Mostly Lindy), and your version is great. Now, I'm going to want to hear it with guitar out front all the time! |

I don't know which I liked more, the guitar, your playing, or the tie! _________________ Primitive Utility Steel |

Glad you liked it,
(I was expecting tomatoes and rotten eggs).
Robert,
Thank you for correcting me, I really thought it was Benny Goodman.
Billy,
I found the midi on the web. I am posting the backing for all to play with, and I really would love someone to do it on steel (if it hasn't been done already).
Regards,
Abel |

Abel, I also thought Benny Goodman wrote "Sing, Sing, Sing." Didn't mean to correct you I was just jazzed after watching a great biography on Louis Prima which I had just finished when you posted your arrangement. |
