Hey everyone....... I just got my D-10 ShoBud Proffessinal back from Billy Coopers..... WOW! what a great job he did on it. I highly reccomend Billys work. He and Wanda are great people and wonderful to deal with. He cleaned and adjusted, re- set my knee's the way they are suppose to be unfroze some of the rollers, adjusted barrles, and new strings both necks. Now it plays like it did when it was new [sort of ]. So now I have to get busy learning the thing. But now that every thing is in place it will make it easier. I know there are lots of other guys out there that rebuild or recondition steels besides Billy, but I am really satisfied with what he did for my old ShoBud. [Emmons set-up] Ok...... Back to playing.....Jack<>< |

Strange attitude. We all care Jack. Maybe not as quick to respond as you'd like though.
Heard a lot about Billy and the good work he's done. I assume you have an older Barrels and Baskets. What else did he do to it... levers and such? _________________ The only thing better than doing what you love is having someone that loves you enough to let you do it.

I care LOL I know Billy and Wanda and they are great people and I saw Billy's repair shop when I was down there. I am sure he did a great job on a fine guitar. I had a pro. for ten years and loved it. The best sounding guitar I ever had |

Billy is good people. Wanda too. Billy took an entire day out to replace/add knee levers to my Super Pro back in ~1985. All levers & brackets replaced w/aluminum, 3 levers added, while I waited (shopping for instructional materials, drinking WAY too much coffee, generously supplied!). |

I wouldn't mind having my PRO1 adjusted, cleaned and tweeked by someone who knows what they're doing. Any idea if there is someone around Austin that does this and about what it might cost?
Thanks

Cleaning, adjusting, new strings both necks, re-set all knee levers [5] new 1st string pull, unfroze and cleaned all rollers, re-set all barrels, set it back up emmons, T-shirt and Ball cap. Total... 465.00 and that encluded shipping, which was 75.00 from east coast to west coast. For the way it looks now and plays....... I think it was a great price........ Jack<>< |
