So some of you tho't JERRY BYRD had given up playing the steel guitar and you'd never again hear the great sounds he and he alone was able to produce?

Keep up the great work, Ray!
And, might I suggest you put your 'working' link to the JB page on your signature, like I have it on mine? It's free advertisement! |

Hi Ray , Just played E.T.s "Answer to Rainbow at Midnite" with Jerry on the JBFC site !! Still love to hear that song after 60 years !! They can come out with 10 neck steel guitars with 84 pedals but no one will ever duplicate that "SOUND" that Jerry got !!! Keep up the good work !!! How's your "Volu-Tone amp working out ?? When you get tired of it I'll take it off your hands cheep !! ???? Good luck with everything !!! Eddie "C" ( the old non-pedal geezer ) |

Hi Eddie:
That Volu-Tone amp is plugging right along....sounds great even after all of these years. Plenty of power/punch.
But....Jerry, back in those early days, used to get a TONE that I can only describe as a "nazal" twang. I tho't it was the guitar then the amp and now I am confused.
Pedal From a Faded Rose is one where it is most obvious; as is, Gotta Have My Baby Back.
Any of you ever noticed that? |

Hi Ray,
Thank you for posting this. I would have missed this
incredibly sensitive and feelings-loaded playing.
What a touch !.His music and style are an absolute delight for me.
It really takes me to another dimension.
Jerry Bird ! I know another legend now. Thank you.
