John,
I enjoyed hearing you play and meeting you very very very much last year and can't wait to hear you play again. I did not know that you could change a string so fast as you did when you kicked off Look At US I hope that we get to hear Look At US again this year. You can Save one for me as well!!!

Hey John:
Do you have a back up CD with tracks to go with this new CD as you have with your others.
I would like to have both of these when they become available.
Thanks Ken Latchum

Hi Bob Lawrence,
Yes, I guess I will be playing "Look At Us" again this year. Hope people don't get tired of it.
Yea, I used to be pretty fast. I could do an intro, break a string and have changed before
the turn-around. I'm starting to slow down a little. Ha!!!
See you in St Louis.

John...Have tried everything I know but just can't Make the show this year. You know it's a work thing for a lot of us players...and I mean manual labor (HEHE). I would like those CD's however. Is there a way I can just send the $$$$$ and get em shipped to me.

Can't wait to hear it. As I told you in New Philadephia. In my opinion I think "Lost In The Feeling" is the finest piece of steel work ever put on tape. Save me a copy for sure.

For those of you that don't already have John's last two CDs, they're wonderful and excellent RTs are available at http://www.johnhughey.com/

Great news, John! It is no surprise that you have not made a bad recording yet!
To me, you are "Mr. Soulful Steel" on the E9 and you can jam with the best of them on C6.
When I first got interested in steel guitar in 1980, I knew I had to "try" to play ballads like you. That is why one my early courses was the Emmons Guitar Co. Course you did many years ago. I still play "Last Date" the way you taught it in that course--the way it is suppose to be done!
You're the best!
Frank

Hey my picking buddy John,
Just heard about your new CD.. It's about time. You should put one out a month.
I would appreciate your bringing me 2 of these to St. Louis. I want to send one to Finland where you have many fans.
Take care and Linda and I will see you and Jean in a couple of weeks.
Your pal

John...you need to include a chart for Lost in the Feeling! I remember you and Jeff Newman talking about that song in Saluda back in February. Jeff said no one really believed the chart when they saw it. I'm looking forward to seeing you in St. Louis to get a copy.

It surely is no coincidence that this date, on CMT, Trace Adkins introduced "The Legendary, John Hughey" with Vince Gill singing Kindly Keep It Country. He had said earlier in a clip about Del Mullen; if it ain't got a steel guitar, it ain't country.
Sounds like he needs to be a Honorary Member of this Forum !!

Hey, John. Glad to see we get to hear some smooth playing from a true master. I grew up listening to the way you made your guitar cry. Truly incredible. Gene gets to here some of your style on a couple of songs we do and the great thing is I have the freedom to do what I want. Gene loves your playing. Can't wait to get a copy. Take care and God Bless. Corky.
