St John Theatre in Reserve, Louisiana is performing the show "Always Patsy Cline" August 21 - 24.
We are looking for a nearby pedal steel musician who would be interested in playing with us.
It is a nonpaying gig but gas money may be able to be negotiated.

Reserve is not too far away from where I live in Denham Springs.......I don't understand, however, why it would be a "non-paying" gig......I could be available......Hal

I figure the only time it ought to be a 'non-paying' gig is if the theater isn't charging for tickets (or perhaps if it's a benefit). But if they're getting paid (and it's not a benefit), then they need to pay their performers. And if they can't afford to, then there's something wrong with their business model and they need to change it or get out of the business.
p.s. Oh I forgot: 'It'll be good exposure...' Now, where have I heard that one before... ?

I agree with that Charlie......I spoke with the thater director and we'll be in some negotiations here directly.....I told him that there's no need for it not to be a paid gig if they're charging admission.....HAL
