So a Dixie Chick CD wouldn't make a good stocking stuffer for you this x-mas?
I like 'em a lot. |

I'm fond of them as well. Have you listened to the lyrics of their latest radio song? It sounds like they know who the real artists were. |

I think their new CD is outstanding.
Is this the lyrics your talking about Mike?
quote: ...they may sound tired but they don't sound HAGGARD
they may have money but they don't have CASH
they may have Jr. but they don't have HANK...
I may not always like their appearance, but I like the way they stood up to SONY. I also like the fact that they make the music that they WANT to make.
Respectfully,

Curiously, the Dixie Chicks started out as just such a 'cowgirl' group with the hats and matching fringe outfits. They made a nice novelty act and played plenty of fairs, but couldn't get noticed in Nashville. Enter Natalie and her powerful voice and personality, makeovers all around, and shopping for some new (and I think great) songs, they are now golden. They have my respect and admiration.
Now, I'm not crazy about sameness of alot of the productions coming out of Nashville, but there is some great talent out there if you look. |
