Oh Boy, not sure what sort of reply I'll get to this after reading some of the post replies to tohers.
I'm an old bloke who has a very old Emmons D10 push pull system, didn't have half stops on it when I bought it and it still don't ( what the hell are half stops) and can you add them to any pedal/knee lever where you can get an extra note, LIKE using half A pedal to get a C note ( E9 tuning) Yup I is a bit thick, but still not as thick as some.
Thinking about buying a new steel one day and want to know what to ask for when it comes to copedent set up.

Aub, the only actual half-stop I have on either of my guitars is the second string lower to a half tone and then a whole tone. The half stop it's self is no more than feeling when the 9th string engages on the same pull as the second string. One of my guitars is a P/P Emmons and it does have the half stop feel and that can be adjusted. Can't explain it, maybe an expert steel mechanic can chime in and explain that part.
