Virtuoso jazz harpist Carol Robbins will appear on the show Tuesday and Wednesday. Carol is nothing short of amazing. I've seen her perform 3 times and was completely blown away each time.
This woman deserves to be a superstar in jazz circles. Maybe this will help her achieve that status.

Ah Jim, you've figured out my evil plan. 
I just received a note from Carol saying that she's not a contestant, but will be playing in the orchestra. She said that she doesn't know whether or not she'll be on camera, but that she can be heard.
I'm gonna watch, even though I can't stand the show.

Theresa, even if we hear Carol's playing, we will be hearing the orchestral part that she will be reading, and not her wonderful improvisational skills.
The lady is a monster but like so many other world class players who get gigs in TV show house bands, it's doubtful that she'll get a chance to strut her stuff.

Like all musicians that are on call, they do what is needed for the gig. We appreciate what they do.
To be on American Idol is a big deal! |
