Post by Doc Quinn »

Sho-Bud has been sold

Sold in less than two hours after initial posting!

Congrats my new Friend!

Doc

...................................

Hi All;

I made this post back in 2003 ...
Posted 11 Aug 2003 7:22 pm

Hi all;

Well, I finally got around to picking up my 10 string and the serial number shows to be as follows

7-202-202

Now, it's a Sho Bud (single 10) with, hearts, spades, clubs and diamonds, inlayed in the neck.

That is about all I know. I will post a pick when I get back from NC. It has 4 peds (all on the left side), and one knee bar on the right side. It has the hex nut and thumb adjusters sticking out the right end on the guitar. One toggle switch, one 1/4 jack hole and one knob that says tone. It's a beauty, just like new! I love it!

Does anyone know where I would go to break down this serial number so I can learn just exactly what I have?

Please advise,

Thanks,
Doc
Now, after all this time I am going to sell this nice Sho-Bud - Really don't want to but .....

It hurts to get rid of it because it was my Fathers but a mans got to do as a man needs to do at times !

Anyone interested?

I am looking to get $1,000.00 for it plus what it cost to ship it to the buyer.

From another post I saw here shipping with insurance for $1,500.00 runs around, $150.00. I am not sure if this is correct info but like I said, It's what I read on another pending sale that was in this forum. We'll call it a go by, ok!

This Sho-Bud Single neck 10 string (Fingertip) can be bought with a credit card payment of $1,000.00 to my PayPal account.

First come first to buy!

My Studio Number is (903) 784-****

or you can e-mail from my home page www.docquinn.com

Need more scoop? Let me know, ok!

Thanks,

Doc

Also, I want to say "Thanks To Bobbe Seymour" if he ever comes around here for all his great newsletters over the years that were sent to me. I read everyone of them and am greatful Sir ! TY

If the deal falls through for any reason, put me next on the list. That means I'll take it.

Mike,

I see on the original post he went to N.C. Have you tried to call or contact him? According to his profile he's been a member for a few years anyway.

Keep us posted.

RC, that post was from 2003. Yes, I spoke with him on the phone about 2 weeks ago and he was "sending it out". There's no excuse for this. I know I'll get my money back, but I'm not here to provide anyone with a loan.

Doc

If you see this guitar come up for sale, run like hell.

The seller is refunding my payment, but not before he called ME a scam artist and saying I tried to defraud him out of Paypal fees and shipping. Since when are Paypal fees the buyer's responsibility? You set your price accordingly or ask for fees. He seemed pretty happy to me when he got his payment.

The Real Deal

Post by Doc Quinn »

Here's the real deal folks!

The guitar is setting right here in my home ready to ship. The reason is, because Mike did not keep his end of the deal. He said he would pay $150.00 shipping and as well pay me $1,000.00 for the guitar.

The buyer (Mike) wanted me to pay the PayPal fees ($32.00) which is something I never do and then shorted the shipping fees by $50.00 on top of that.

I mailed Mike and told him that I wasn't going to pay the transaction fees and the additional fees for shipping. He started to come apart and I askd that he call me and he wouldn't even do that.

There would not be a problem if he had kept his end of the deal.

I have offered to let him have the guitar picked up at his expence and that I would refund him the $68.00 left over from his payment that wouldn't cover shipping and he reniged. Too Bad!

I'm not letting someone do me that way. It's a beautiful guitar and worth every cent I wanted for it ($1,000.00) but I'm not reaching into my pocket to pay his fees and additional shipping.

Not going to run over me. I will simply refund his money via PayPal and sell the guitar to someone that knows how to buy.

If anyone is intrested you can contact me via my profile. But do understand, I will not pay shipping nor will I pay transaction fees. Bottom line!

Another thing is that, some how Mike thinks I have a case for the guitar. I never mentioned a case nor has there ever been a case for the guitar that I have kown about. I have it put in the same protection that it has been in since the day my Father got it himself.

Thanks,

Doc

You seemed to enjoy the money just fine when you got it, Doc. And for your information, Paypal fees are your responsibilty. If you don't want any less than $1000, then you ask for more to cover the fees--simple as that.

Second, you and I agreed that $100 might be enough for shipping, but if it wasn't I'd reimburse you with a Paypal payment. I don't know where you getting your garbage from.

Bottom line--if there was a problem you would have addressed it via email or a phone call prior to it coming to this. You would have mentioned it in our phone conversation 2 1/2 weeks ago but you didn't. I wouldn't go through with this transaction now because I don't trust you.

Another thing, I never mentioned anything about a case, I don't why you're mentioning that, but now that you do, I can only imagine the condition that guitar would arrive in.

Thanks for the refund and good luck. I wanted this guitar, Doc, but I'll live without it. Besides, I have my own bills to pay, not someone else's.

The way I look at it is like this . . . .

If Mike tries to buy something from you, RUN LIKE HELL!

I will not let this get worse than it already is here on bOb's site. I hate that its got this far!

I have always had much respect for this site and all members and enough is enough. He will get his money thru Paypal, I have already made them arrangements and I will sell the guitar to someone who deserves it and respects what a mans instrument is worth to him.

The deal is what it is and Mike won't cheat me no matter what.

You didn't mention a case you say, man you must be on drugs Mike.

I asked you to call me like you did the last time we talked, you wouldn't, what can I say!

Your loss on owning this fine guitar.

With respect for the site, I'm done with you on the net. My number is 903 784 7942
