Just bought a GFI 12 string universal

Post by Michael Walker »

I am new to the steel guitar world but have played "regular" guitar since 1964. Gee did they have electricity then. I have deceided to make the jump-to-light speed and play pedal steel guitar. At any rate I have settled on a GFI S12 PKU. It is ordered and I am waiting for delivery. There is a local teacher here where I live in Long Beach. I am interested in a "camp" that may be offered somewhere. Any ideas? Also any feedback on the GFI would be appreciated. Thanks Mike

yes, we had electricity then, but only 4 channels on TV.

I think you will enjoy the Uni approach. makes things much more simple.
I don't know what's happening in CA. If you cannot find a camp or seminar, hire a teacher for a half day a month, the next few months. You will be glad you did.

Good luck

The guitar is now here and I am taking lessons. It is addictive and a lot more fun then I thought it would be. Quite a bit of the stuff is transferable from the six string. Anyway here I go.
