Gotcha Mark!
Your books is going out this morning with some others. Pay Pal hadn't notified us of a few orders from the past month, and I apologize to anyone who had been in that batch of unfortunate orders. Normally orders go out the day following the PayPal notification email we receive.
Thanks again Mark, and I sincerely hope you enjoy the reading!

I'm reading it, and enjoying it.
I think anyone interested in the "Insides of the Nashville Music Biz" would find it very interesting.
I won't have much more to say until I finish.

Great book! I would recommend this to anyone interested in getting a very personal insight into the political working of the 'music biz' in Nashville.
This book moves right along and is easy reading. Terry paints a wonderful time line and shares some real personal experiences with us....some very positive, and some really disappointing. All of us who have spent any time in this business can relate to a lot of his stories. A fun trip down memory lane for me as it turns out. Not only do we know some of the same musicians, but we actually met some time ago. What's that they say about 6 degrees of separation.
His love for playing steel really shines through out the book. And for you folks not familiar with Terry's playing, you're missing some very creative and tasty steel playing to say nothing of his producing capabilities. Be sure to look for the re-release of the Wendt Brothers CD. You do plan making that available, don't you Terry?
Above all, he keeps his faith in God and trusts in God's plan for his journey here on earth. This is evident in his writing and his continual positive attitude about life. Thanks for sharing with us Terry and God bless you, Russ |

Here is my review of the book "The Early Days" by Terry Karl Wendt. I loved it!
The roller-coaster ride of the year! How does the music biz look from behind a pedal steel? Have you ever wondered what recording artists are really like in person? From the passion of just picking, to the intricacies of recording, mastering and re-mastering, Terry Wendt takes you on a rare behind the scenes journey. He has a unique opportunity to take you inside of the life and times of a steel guitarist/producer in a way no one ever has! From his Nashville dream gigs, to the bottom of life's heap, his optomistic attitude about it all is catching! Playing for country greats such at Jimmy C. Newman, Jeannie Pruitt, and a host of others, Terry tells of his love for the greatest instrument of all! He takes you inside putting together Shania's first road band and being her road manager. What is her favorite instrument? Life couldn't be better? But.......
He takes you into the studio in great detail, mentioning names you well know. He starts a record company. He sells windows and delivers pizza. He also finds the love of his life!
He also shares his philosophy of life and God.
My first action, when I got my book, was to look at the pictures!
While reading the book, I kept referring back to them, as it made the book come to life! My personal favorite is a picture from the Opry stage of Terry, Weldon Myrick, and Sonny Burnette playing triple steels! I will bet that it is one of his treasured moments!
This is a book for everyone! Especially steel players, because it is from the perspective we are familiar with. He has lived many of our dreams. He has had it all and lost it all. And how are things now? Well.....you've just got to read the book!

Terry, I received my copy several weeks ago and read the book within two days. For me, once I got into the book I found it difficult to put down. I found the book very enlightening and would recommend for anyone wanting to know what goes on behind the scenes in the music business.
