It was just that and even more. Yes, it was hot in the club, but hell, a place that was built for maybe 120 people at the most had maybe 250 to 300 people in it. Another 50 or so outside and having to turn people away. People came from all over the country for this occassion. Probably way beyond the expeted turnout. Even so,,,I would go to it again in a heart beat.
My thanks to everyone who was so nice and cordial to me. You made an old man feel really good.
The pickers were nothing short of fabulous and Buddy was,,,,,well,,,,,, then there was BUDDY in all his elegance,,,,,I just don't know the right combination of words to desribe his performance. Magnificent, stunning, superb, blue-ribbon, doesn't even come close.
His dedication to his instrument and his music could not have been more evident. Absolutely STELLAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Earl, it was my pleasure. Your presence was a huge reason for the "shine" of the steel pickers.
Corky, what can I say to help you to feel better? Man, it was just beyond describing.

Bobby, I don't know what the next jam can be called... Super has been done and then some.
Your presence was a welcome suprise! Thanks for being there. I enjoyed my few moments of chatting with you although it did take a lot of effort to have a conversation with anyone. As always, Junior represented Texas
well. He took to Johnny's triple neck like a duck to water. Same must be said for Johnny on Jr's 12 string.Truthfully Hal and Buddy had a hard act to follow ( Junior,Johnny & Robbie)but they left no doubt they were up to the task! Come back to see us. Hell it's hot in Texas too.

Thanks Bill. It was a little hard to do much visiting, but it was well worth it. See ya down the line.
