I've been a television producer, writer, director & graphic designer for about 16 years. With a helpful kick in the butt from cororate America, I've decided to leap into the abyss and start a freelance business in writing, producing, motion design and visual design/illustration for broadcast, tape, web & print. I've had fantastic opportunities for travel, continuing education, and growth in my professional career allowing me, in the last few years, to gain additional experience in webcasting and animation design. I've been in touch with several forumites about steel-related projects and I'm very excited about having time to do more projects that are better related to my interests. Wish me luck!

I wish you all the luck in the world on your new path. I have to say I'm quite envious, I was a fine art major in college and have always played music, worked in visual arts, and dabbled in computer animation and graghic design. Unfortunately I'm still stuck in the mind-numbing world of business programming. A cubicle, fluorescent lighting, no windows, office politics,.....and worst of all not much money. Please keep us posted on your progress; maybe I can live vicariously through you!

Andy, good luck, remember the Three Rules:

1. Get the money.
2. Make sure you get the money.
3. Don't forget to get the money.

Because, as you know, it's the job of the suits to drive a wedge between you and the money.

Boy, is Chas ever right.

I usually offer them my easy credit terms: 1/2 down and the rest now...
