I've tried quite a few after market pickups in my Mullen, and I keep going back to the original pickup that Dixie made for my guitar.

I use the orignal single coils in mine. Really like them. Herby said he had some input in the winding on the HWP. I know they sound better than the single coils that were in my 1990 Mullen. Could be the overall guitar tone. The 2005 HWP is a better guitar than the 1990.
