Randy Cornor is a Texas legend.
Back in the 70's he played lead guitar with Frenchie Burke in Houston TX and was responsible for some of the greatest guitar solos (with Robbie Springfield on steel) on record from that era. In the 80's he could have been a vocal star on his own and had a genuine hit, "Sometimes I Talk In My Sleep." Sadly, a tragic auto accident sidetracked his career and he is still dealing with some of those disabilities. Nonetheless he remains a monster guitarist and singer. I've had the pleasure of gigging with him (AND Frenchie) and also having his friendship, which I consider an honor.
His performances at the TSGA Jamboree were, as expected by me, outstanding. _________________ My rig: Infinity and Telonics.
Son, we live in a world with walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with steel guitars. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg? |

Jody Nix cut that song also Herb, and to this day, I'm surprised someone hasn't cut that as a steel instrumental (or if they have, I've missed it). That'd be a great one for your tracks/courses, IMHO. What GREAT changes.... |

It's done as an instrumental on the CD "The Way We Wanted It" by Steve Palousek and Randy Corner. Randy does vocal on two other songs on the CD, but it's mostly instrumentals. Unbelievable steel by Steve. I can't say enough about this album. |
