I just spent a very enjoyable time familiarizing myself with the playing of several Forumites over at Tilley's site. Great stuff, people! I didn't get to hear them all yet, of course, but I'm particularly fond of the following ones I heard today:
Ken Byng, Georgia (nice touch!)
Frank Carter, Once Upon a Time in the West (gorgeous!)
Jerry Gleason, The Common Touch (that's what I call 'Acceptable Tone' from a player with an Uncommon Touch!)
Charles Tilley, I Will Always Love You (fine touch and tone!)
I look forward to going back to hear more soon.

Makin' Believe By Arthur
Charles: Thank you so much for allowing us to hear this fantastic version of " Makin' Believe " by Arthur Winkonski from Poland; what a grand version of an old Kitty wells number. The most beautiful rendition of this song I've ever heard. Keep up the good work, Arthur.. And thank you, Charles, for all you do to give us forumites a chance to hear several of our compadrees [ ? ] show-case their talents.. Bravo!!!..Bernie

Bill Hatcher's Fantastic Playing
Hello Bro. Al: Can I put in my two cents worth of giving a well deserved compliment to a great non-pedal musician whom we all know as Bill Hatcher. I thought I had heard his best when I heard his version of " Way To Survive ". A mighty fine job on it but was just roaming around Chas. Tilley's wonderful web site and ran across Bill's rendition of " BACH-JESU JOY ". What an out-standing piece of music on a LAP Steel. You talk about versatality; this is nothing but fabulous playing, Bill. Congratulations.. Give it a listen, you forumites; you'll enjoy..Thanks Al and Charles..Bernie

Nic du Toit from South Africa posted a new song called "Oasis", a song written, I beleive by Ronnie Hinson, shortly before Kenny Hinson passed away. "Oasis" was recorded by the "New Hinsons". Nic turned it into a steel instrumental and included it in his Gospel cd, "The Lighthouse" cd. It's well worth a listen. Thanks, Mr. Tilley.......Steve
