After 18 wives, I'm surprised that he still wants to go it again.

Fellas,
This is not a rock band ! We are playing tunes like begin the beguine, besami mucho, moon river and Herb Alpert covers. I will be reading through lounge standards with some super talented local yocals. I want to get better at playing the C neck so I set up a gig. Therefore I can't get fired even if I suck !

I play in rock bands all the time. This one is for fun.

That puzzled me, too. Why did you think it was a rock band, Nick. Trumpet, string bass, steel and drums? It would be pretty hard to play rock in that configuration.

I assumed new age, jazz, or experimental music - the kind of stuff Bob is best known for.

Reuben Radding (sp?), your bass player, evidently just moved back to NYC from Seattle. Saw him several times here with experimental jazz - beautiful tone.

Faser,

Thats the guy ! We are old friends from when he lived here in NYC. Its good to have him back in town. There is always room for another great bass player around here.
