I know those of us that have been pickin' for a while have heard all of these old cuts. But there's a ton of pickers that haven't. Here's Springfield Guitar Social from the old Starday Tennessee Guitar LP. This is kind of Thumb Carlisle's tribute to other famous guitars ala Phil Baugh's Country Guitar. There's a skip in my copy of this but the fidelity is still a lot better than many of the copies I've heard posted a few years back.

Good song. I think I have that on a LP of guitar instrumentals.

Hey Guys,There is a Gong Show that Thumbs was on,I don't know how to search for that Youtube stuff...anyway he played acoustic guitar behind his daughter Kathy,The song was "Aint No Sunshine"and it was called Kathy Carlie,and Dad.
