Their newest album "Brighter than Creations Dark" is amazing and has some nice pedal steel work on it by forum member John Neff. Good dirty rock and roll ( some might call it "southern rock" or "alt-country"..I think they'd prefer to call it just rock and roll), great songwriting. Reminds me a bit of the Replacements and alot of the Stones. Not a steel showcase by any means...but tasteful and interesting steel work on a terrific album.

If rock and roll, or the occasional drug or anti-war reference bums you out...stay away.
If you like good rock in a Stones style vein...check it out.

Yuppa, it's a great record. And good news: John Neff is now a full-time member of the band, so we're going to be hearing more steel from the Truckers.
