Alan Jackson jsut released his new CD Good Times. I was wandering if anybody has listened to it. I've followed good old AJ since day 1 and have always loved his music. Is Paul Franklin dong the steel work for this album. I know he's usually the one playing in AJ's recordings. |

Alan Jackson is amazing, I just can never get tired of listening to him. I saw his CD at the store and it didn't have a hard plastic case, that kind of sucks, but I got extra cases. |

I bought the album this past week. I can't say there is any song that sticks out. The musicians, as usual, are outstanding but the songs themselves are not. His phrasing on the songs doesn't do anything for me either.
I've got other AJ albums that are great, but for me this one is not. |

I finally got around to getting Alans' new album today. I think it is maybe his best yet.
Listen to track #16,,"If You Want To Make Me Happy".
The kickoff is worth buying the album. Good ole country song for sure. |

Is Franklin playing on this cd? I have seen two recent shows where he is singing his new stuff and the steel player is playing lacquered Derby's on both. (it's the same guy with two different Derby's) |

I bought it last week.
Several songs brought a tear to my eye by the lyric and steel & lap steel playing. Just beautiful!
Several made me LOL!
Alan's 'Good Time' CD is a must for any musician that loves Traditional Country Music! |

I bought my copy at WallyWorld...
Their edition came in the paper case. Later, at a store called FYE, I saw the same CD in the typical jewel case. Go figure....? |

My wife picked it up for me last Friday. I played it on a trip with my daugter. We both raved about it and she latched on to it. I've heard it about one-and-a-half times, but will get it back this weekend.
A.J.-- I thought the same about the case, but when I realized it was a 17-song CD for less than 10 bucks I stopped complaining. Nowadays, I rip them on to the computer and load them to my MP3 player or burn them to a multi-album CD in WMA format. So I don't carry them around much anymore.
Great liner on that, which I've yet to read. Lyrics and credits for all songs; all written by AJ. _________________ HagFan

We also picked up on the release date. First pass I easily found 5 or 6 tunes that are very much to my liking. I think overall it's a fine CD, one that can be listened to for a very long time and then some.
