COMPOSE A SONG

Post by Jim Mitchell »

Can we compose a song about the

“ The Life of a Steel Guitar Player “

No pedals in C6

On the line of the song “A BOY NAMED SUE “
or this old song " son you are going to drive me to drinken if you don't stop driving that

" HOT ROD LINCOLN "

Start with 16 bars make a melody
Tell the story need a song writer who has been there

Something like this I guess

I got my first Steel when I was three learned to play it from my Daddy’s knee
I am trying to play a Harlin Brothers 1956 Multi Kord 6 String 4 Pedal Steel Guitar
and a RONDO lap
Retired from Boeing Helicopters in Ridley Park Pa.
we build the CH47

here's a line..

I get paid well,
but not well enough.
S'pose I should be glad,
no one knows this stuff.

maybe not. it sounded better in my head...as do most of my ideas.

Didn't know much. But I knew I loved that sound.

Wore out my bar by the time I was six, along the way I picked up some licks.

But I still knew I hadn't found that good ol sound.

So I listened to Bob, and Ernest and Hank. I guess I got them fellers to thank.

I was the most twangy swingin youngster ever around!
