Stage Names You'd Like To Use

Post by Chris Bauer »

A recent thread about Lucky Oceans got me thinking about steel guitar stage names. We've had B.J. Cole's days as "Manly Footwear" oh-so-long ago and our esteemed forumite Mr. Bovine, but surely there are other steel guitar stage names out there that have been used and many more ripe for the pickin'. (So to speak...)

Who knows some that have been used and what would you like your stage name to be? I was briefly Tex Pharoah in one long-ago band. This was not, I must say, a name of my choosing however.

I will admit, though, to having long fancied using the name Joaquin LaFloor...

Surely I'm not the only one to have thought about steel guitar stage names. (Er, um, am I????)

Let's have 'em!

some co workers of mine were talking on the same line just last week but were talking on how to name yourself if you were a wrestler.any ways they said to take the name of the street or road you lived on as a kid and combine it with the name of your favorite pet (past or present),this is your name and you can change it around if needed.Well i tried it i grew up on Nichols Rd,my favorite pet is my cat named Rosie. Now they call me Rosie Nichols (what did i get myself into?)

My stage name would be Sage Chandler or Carlton Carlson. I think I like Sage better. Then again there is always Darius Bishop. I like that name too. Probably Sage Chandler though. I don't know, what now? Yes... no.. can you repeat the question?

True story: when I was about 13, I wanted to use the stage name, James Taylor, but somebody else got there first.

So I guess I'll have to be content as Buck Nekkid.
