I would love to hear Dan Tyack playing Sacred Steel style with Michael's rythm section.
Just imagine if you had Bill Medley, David Clayton Thomas and Michael McDonald singing three part harmoney on a Gospel CD with Dan Tyack!
I figure if I'm going to dream, I may as well dream big.

The reason I thought of this is I just bought Michael McDonald’s recent CD, "Soul Speak".

The rhythm section is awesome, and very gospel derivative. Michael's vocals also give me major goose bumps.

I think Michael has recorded in Nashville.

Michael has a full-figured black lady on drums who is funky as funky can be. She is so inspiring!
The way the record sounds, I get the impression he used his group instead of studio musicians.
(although his group plays more than good enough for the studio.)

I was wrong. I finally read the fine print (which was really small and printed over a grey background) and it was Ab Laborial Jr. (Sp?)on drums.

I'll call Bill, David and Michael to see if they are booked. Smile

Don't charge them too much, Dan. They need to eat!
