Setup Problem

I Have A Sho-Bud LDG I'm Having A Problem Lowering The
(E) 4th String To D#.

I Can't Lower The String To D#. 448. Is As Close As I Can Get It To 440.
I Moved The Stop And That Did Not Help
I Moved The Rod To Another Hole In The BellCrank
Still Did Not Help.
The 8th String Is Fine.
Any Help Would Be Appreciated.

Hi. I also have a LDG. My lowering of the E's to D# is on the RKL lever. I looked at where my rods are, and they are both in the same hole on the bellcrank. I can lower or raise the pitch with no problem. I am not a expert on this, but my thought is your tuning screw is not threading in, or out, far enough to let the string drop to its correct pitch. If you are that close to perfect, it has to be in the adjusting screw. Like I said, I am not a expert on this. On mine, I have the nylon tuning nuts.

Harold, you might want to look under it, and see if it has an adjuster for that string. I've never had one of those, but on mine, the 8 string is the stop, and I adjust the 4 lower from underneath, to fine tune it.

I Have Backed It Off And Moved The Stop In
Then Brought The Tuning Nut In As Far As It Will go
Still No Luck.
I Can Get It Close But Not Close Enough.

Harold there are many things to look at; could be the prob....but look at when you lower it; is the raise section moving also??? Do you have adjustable return springs??? Is there a raise/helper spring on the 4th string??? Have you tried backing off the raises on that string??> you might be a little into the finger with the raises(especially the E to F#); if that is so; that will prevent that 4th string from lowering properly.
If I saw a picture of the underneath...I could tell you exactly what's going on???
Oh and there is about 5 more things I can think of that aren't adjusted properly...but start with those.

I Will Try Backing Off The E To F#
If That Don't Help I Will Send You Some Pictures Of The Under Body.
It Will Be A Couple Days Before I Can Do Any Thing With It.
