Beards
I was informed when I purchased mine (now Chris Boyds and boy do I miss it!) that Paul Beard does not allow discounts on his guitars from any of his dealers, so the list price is the selling price..

that seems to be the market on Beard Model E's...
I paid $3,000 for a "like new" model E last summer and have since noticed a few that sold for that amount. There are a lot of fine resophoics being built, some command more, some a bit less, I've only played one other Beard Model E, they seem to be consistant in tone and quality, and worth every bit of $3000.
Two Spector 5 string basses, Martin D-18, Taylor 812CE, 1944 Epiphone Zenith, a killer Luttrell 6 string resophonic, 1932 Model 56 Dobro, Beard Model E, Martin Soprano Uke, 10 string 1953 Alkire Eharp, Peavey Nashville 112, Fender Bassman, Fender 75 watt Rumble, and a Fender 100 watt Rumble.

Used Beard Maple or Mahogany E's consistently sell for $2800 - $3000 used. Downside risk buying one in that range is almost nil should you decide to sell later. I bought a used Maple E last year for $2600 (from a VERY motivated seller) and later sold it on Ebay for $2850. Wish I still had it, but bills had to be paid. I've never seen another E body for a price that low. This one is a solid buy.
