James C. - no prob.! I knew what you meant, but thanks.

Brad - yes, Bill is correct - the pickups are BL 705 re-issues.

I used the guitar in Houston Fri. and at Gilley's in Dallas this past weekend - it was a pleasure to play.

Jody in Dallas!

Post by Dennis Lee »

Will someone please get some pictures and sound clips of my Bro playing his new Rittenberry in Dallas this year? That's more than a leisurely drive for me here in Oregon. I'm really happy that Jody has discovered the wonderful Rittenberry work. He played mine here in Oregon in November and seemed very impressed by its tone and playability. I guess the fact that he will be showcasing his new Rittenberry speaks volumes!

Hello Dennis, my friend! Hope all is well with you up in the great NW! I will try and get a video clip for you and send it to you via email. I have a student here that has a digital video camera that he uses in our lessons, so I will see if I can get him to make a clip.

Take care, JC

I just don't want to say BUMP.Instead I want to have everyone know that this is probably the best build steel guitar out there at this time. Not only the sound will knock your socks of but the materials used for these guitars are AAAAA-quality.
I have been playing Gary's steel guitars for quiet some time now and I have to confess that these steel guitars are the best I have ever played. And believe you me....I have played almost all brands out there.

If you all have seen Bobbe Seymour play these steel guitars on you-tube then you know what I am talking about. And all the folks that have been in Dallas probably know now for them selfs how these guitars sound.
These guitars are a separate class.

Outstanding..........way to go Gary.I think it's about time now for that new D-10 8x8.

It's absolutely gorgeous, and it sounded as good as it looked. And congratulations on being chosen as player of the year in Texas, Jody. It was well deserved, I've never heard anything sound better than you did on the big stage in Dallas. And Fred justice does impeccable work on steels, cases and what ever he makes.

We had Jody's new Rittenberry at his booth, and ALOT of people came by and played it, including Doug Jernigan and Bert Rivera. We were using a Fender Steel King at the booth and Jody used it on the main stage. Alot of people came by and played it multiple times throughout the weekend. Also, you cannot ask for a great couple, Gary and Tina Rittenberry, it was a pleasure meeting them, and Gary sure does take pride in his work. It was great meeting all who stopped by Jodys booth and visited with us. Also, way to go Jody on being selected Texas Steel Guitar Player of the Year, well deserved my friend.

Well, I can only say that the Rittenberry performed flawlessly for me in Dallas. What a wonderful instrument, but more importantly, Gary and Tina are two of the nicest folks I've met on this earth. Very sincere, down-to-earth people. After meeting Gary in person and spending a few days with him, I think he is one of the finest builders/engineers of steel guitars ever to come along in the business.

Thanks for a great guitar, Gary, and thanks also to those who stopped by my booth to visit...I enjoyed meeting you all and seeing some old pals.
