Could anyone explain the differences between the newer "buff" versus older "scruff" controls on the Evans amps? The Evans site says the "scruff" version is not recommended for psg, but I'm curious if anyone has had real world experience with both for pedal steel guitar, and what the actual impact was on the guitar's sound. Anybody played a PSG through an older Evans with the "scruff" control?
