David, Here's one listed below. I'm not sure how close it is to the Sheraton Hotel though. Once you get down there someone will no doubt be able to direct you to a good store in the vicinity. I know that Sheplers is a good and reasonably priced western wear store that has chains in most major cities. You're gonna have a great time down there in Texas, I'm sure.

If you can get to North Arlington, then you have the 2 biggest ones, next door to each other.. Sheplers and Cavenders. Actually, they are probably the closest to you, but they are south of the airport, off Hwy 360 & Randol Mill Rd. in Arlington. It'll be about 20 - 25 min drive. Pretty easy to get to. You can Google both to get their exact addresses....

You can get to Cavenders and Boot Town which is right next door in about 20 minutes I would think. Both are off 635 on the north side a mile or so east of I-35.
As driving distances and times goes in the Metroplex that isn't far at all from DFW airport.

It's not the closest to the Sheraton but you'll want to pay a visit to Leddy's, 2455 North Main in Fort Worth, right in the heart of the Stockyards.

I am bringing my Boss RV2 and DD2 for my FX.. I can heel it in for Orange Blossom Special..Looking forward to it very much too..Not planning sets but I will have Frans tracks on an iPod.. I will just spin a few off and pick! OH... A Microphone too? There's one or two that I can sing and play too...

I remember a western shop on I35, just north of downtown, on the west side of I35. I don't remember the name but we went to that when I was in Big D for an AT&T convention/semminar in 1995 (at the Hyatt Regency at Reunion). The store was big - probably as big as a Sheppler's.

Justin Boot has a factory outlet in Ft Worth.

I think there is a Western Wear store in the Grapevine Mills mall which is less than 10 minutes from the hotel. Boot Town I think.

Just stop the regular guys that walk down the street and ask them. George Straight wears cowboy-cut Wranglers and a plain western shirt. No one in Texas wears those cheesey western shirts with fringe, and the boots made for walking.

Hi David,

If you go on line you can get Sheplers Western Wear, Their home store is in Wichita, Kansas and they have the largest or one of the largest Western wear stores in the world. They'll send you a free catalog of their merchandise, if you contact them.

I bought some really cool things from them too. My wife loves the Native America jewelry they sell.

Hey Gene, Bronco Billy alias my Uncle Clint Eastwood liked the fringed shirts! ;-)

GOD bless!

I lived in the North Texas area for over 25 years and there is no better place I know of than Justin Texas. It's about 30 miles from the Host hotel. I get to Dallas about once a quarter. I purchase all my wrangler, levi and off brand jeans. Lot's of weatern wear shirts, hats and just about anything western. Justin boot and most of the name brand. You can hit the high dollar stores in town or head out to the country. If you wnat a great product at a fair price this is the place. I know some of these are factory seconds but if you inspect them you will do fine. PS I have found more facotry seconds at walmart than the Justin stores. Oh yea there are three stores the have est.80,000 sq ft of shop. My wife loves to check out the womens section to. Do not be concerned about directions. I can give turn by turn directions. I drove it for over 10 years. My son and I are going out there early Saturday morning we normally are back by 11am if you want to catch a ride.

After you pick out that western shirt, then you might find a Guyabera shirt to your liking also. Johnny Bush often wears these. They are typically loose fitting and very very confortable in hot weather.

David if your looking for cheesy shirts or jeans then try Leddy's Ranch downtown Fort Worth 410 Houston Street. This is the owner of Leddy's western wear in the Stockyards wife that owns this one and it is a high end western wear shop, they only sell those new fangled over the top type western wear clothing. When I say high end expect to pay some bucks for those shirts. I used to work there and was over the hat and boot department of this particular store.
