Great work Joel...that is my kind of music, you really know how to work the C6 tuning. The guitar you are using on one of the songs, is that by chance a Gibson L5?

Hi Joel,

I really liked your playing on Nuages. I guess speed picking has it's place, but I enjoy a player that puts a lot of feeling(SOUL)into a slow tune. It's very creative by the individual player. IMHO! :)

John,
Thanks for the post. The guitar is a Gibson-made Epiphone from the 60's, an Epiphone Broadway. It is kind of a poor man's L5- it's the same size and scale length, with a plywood maple top and Mini-Humbuckers.

Thanks for the kind words, Roger. I'm not much of a C6 single note speedpicker, I try to make up for it with some chord melody. I love listening to fast picking but my favorite steel players are still Jerry Byrd and Jimmy Day- the essence of soul and tone!

That's the way to do it. Nice steel sounds, and I really loved the jazz guitar trio songs. Really cookin' trio!
