MSA Classic Rosewood 8 & 5 now $1250 PICS ADDED

Post by Bill Myers »

I just got this guitar from a friend of mine. For those in the Central PA area this was one of Bobby Klingers guitars. It is a very clean MSA Classic with 8 Floor Pedals and 5 Knee Levers. It is the standard Rosewood Mica and is in very good cosmetic condition and excellent playing condition. It comes with the Black plastic case that is in good shape too (the handle has been replaced with a new handle). The Pedals are all standard Emmons. The right knee levers and left knee levers have been reversed (this could be changed on this guitar very easily). As I took this in trade on my guitar I would just like to sell it for $1250 plus shipping. It is alot of guitar for the money and will serve someone well. I will have pictures up later tommorow.

Thanks

As promised, I added some pics. It's a little dusty, but it sounds good and stays in tune!

Just an update....I keep on cleaning this guitar and it keeps getting nicer and nicer. I took all of the old strings off the e9th neck and cleaned and lubricated the changer and the roller nut and re-strung it with a fresh set of strings. This guitar plays very nice. If someone wants this guitar and wants it changed over to standard Emmons set-up I can get it pretty close for you. I'm also going to lower the price to $1295 plus shipping.

Thanks

Bill

Price has been lowered to $1250 plus shipping and the guitar has been changed over to standard Emmons setup on knees (pedals were already Emmons). She's all ready to go!

Hi Bill,
I really don't know much about MSA's but the pedal/knee tuning nuts appear to be a mix of different materials. Can you enlighten me?
I'm near Reading, PA.
thanks,

Some of the tuning nuts on this guitar are still an old slip over collars that has threads inside and an allen head fitting. The rod istself is the same and these can be replaces with regular nylon tuning nuts.

I believe this guitar is a 1974. Here are some pics of the undercarriage. The right knee levers must have been added later, because they are black and the left knee levers are bare aluminum. They all look like msa parts.

Bill, my guitar was built in April of 74 with the serial number 2C2324, if that helps figure out the date of this guitar.

Good luck with the sale.

I saw that one with the serial number 2c1804 was from 1974 also and the one with 2c1494 was a 1973. This one is 2c1625 so I am guessing that it is late 73 or early 74 range.

I have not had much intrest in this guitar and I need to sell it. I am going to leave this on here until Monday evening and then it will be moved. I am going to list it for sale elsewhere.

Thanks
