We as Steel Players are aware of the great contribution PF has given Country music. Paul along with a great group of studio players have created many memorable moments for our listening pleasure.
In my humble opinion he is a musical Genius! To name just a couple of tunes that makes this very evident take sammy Kershaws You Are The Love Of My Life or Alan Jacklsons Blues Man. He is incredable |

I met Paul when he was still in high school and living in Detroit. He played great then and was a real nice guy. Things haven't changed much except he plays even better now but he is still the nice guy from Detroit. He has had a great career and is still keepin' on. Looking forward to more great things from Paul. My Best, Bobby |

I am keeping my fingers crossed that he will be with the Time Jumpers (commitments allowing) when I go to see them on 10th March).
Buddy Emmons was telling us many years ago in the UK of a youngster from Detroit who was a 'monster'. Paul was only 14 at the time!!

While I only dimly remember the details and I can't recall where I read it, my favourite PF story is about the time when, in the early days, he was helping out at Pete Drake's studio.
He apparently was taking a short break from his general duties and doing some practicing when the steel-player booked for the next session arrived - he was stunned when he realized that the 'janitor' was a better player than he was himself!!!
