I see where some of the players had the older 1000's and they said they didn't sound all that good then they tryed later models and loved them.
Was an update of some sort made that would explain this and if so when ??

I have an older NV1000 and put the Ken Fox mod in it - it sounded pretty good before, but now it is awesome!

I don't know if Peavey changed anthing but when I put the Ken Fox mods in, it sure did change things. I think he sold me Burr-Brown chips. They were very easy to put in and the sound became much warmer. I'm very happy with my older NV 1000.
