I just bought Darrell McCall's box set. It cost a small fortune but it is worth it. There are five CDs and nearly 150 songs. There's some great steel playing by Dicky Overbey, Buddy Emmons, and others on these CDs. I can't get enough of Darrell McCall.

Guess I ought to pay more attention rather than pay more money. Still worth the money though.

I have had the Darrell McCall box set for sometime now and is wonderful. Darrell has always been one of my favorite singers and he is a hoot to be around and to work with. The box set is really worth the price. Great steel guitar work by many great players. Some other great players show up on other instruments as well. If you like country music, the way it should be, then this set is a must for your collection. As Chet Atkins used to say "That's just my opinion and it should be yours". Ha Ha. My best to all, Bobby

Thanks Bobby. I feel a whole lot better now about not purchasing Fred's copy. Looking back, I was out of town and wasn't looking at the Forum when his post was made. I just didn't see it. Anyway, I don't regret the purchase. It's a great collection of solid country music.

I have to agree, I love this box set, I had Darrell sign it for me awhile back in San Antone, I wish Bear Family would do the same for Johnny Bush, maybe even a Curtis Potter discography
