The Hollies had Don King (I think) play steel on "Jennifer Eccles" . . .

. . . and didn't Rod Stewart have steel on one or two of his hits ? (someone might be able to elaborate on this.) . . . and wasn't there a mention of Steel Guitar in the lyrics of one of his songs ? (possibly Mandolin Wind ?)

Did anyone list Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young? (I won't mention the players name - don't want to get somethin' started and derail Reece's interesting post).

Dave Easly did couple of Brian Blades CDs (he's a major jazz artist).

Did anybody mention Eric Clapton?

Mike, I'll make you a deal. You take down that god-awful picture of Phil Spector and I'll take down my god-awful picture of Don King. I can't stomach this thread anymore... Whaddayasay?

Don't know if anyone mentioned him,

Ricky Nelson - with Tom Brumley and I bet he used steel on other recordings as well.
