Sonny
Your welcome
"Hobo Bill's last ride" is one of my favorites , another is
"Hobo's Meditation" Jimmy Rogers wrote them and
there have been quite a number of artists record them
Linda Ronstead and Dolly Parton (spelling ?)
recorded it .
I'v never heard a Steel version of these ! but I think they
would be very good Steel tunes .

My favorite version is by Merle Haggard on his "Same Train, Different Time" double album tribute to Jimmie Rodgers. It has a very nice Dobro break on it which I can't remember if it was played by Norm Hamlet or James Burton. It has a "chicken Pickin" flavor to it and is very nice.........JH in Va. _________________ Don't matter who's in Austin (or anywhere else) Ralph Mooney is still the king!!! |
