Carl: what amplifier are you using, and what effects units ? I like the sound balance you have.

Alan
on the videos that I played the Emmons on I used a Nashville 1000,then I bought the new Carter and a Nashville 112 so every thing that I play the Carter on
I''m using the 112.

Carl's beautiful version of Mansion on the Hill

Post by Bill Atwood »

Just prior to Jeff Newman's next to the last flight, I had the good fortune to get acquainted with Carl during Jeff's 4 day seminar out in Phoenix. During the seminar Jeff commented several times about Carl's "great hands", they didn't look so great to me, no callous's or dirt under the nails! Since that time I have always addressed Carl as "Hands". Now I read that he has teaching qualities and I have to agree. Guess I'm going to have to pack up and head to Cortez. Can't think of anyone I'd rather spend the time with. Keep up the great work friend.
Hope to see you again soon

Hi Mr. Bill, Thanks for the nice words. one of the best things that happened on that trip to Phoenix was meeting you and the friendship we have today. Come see me any time , I'll let you play through your old Stereo Steel and we'll learn how to play "Waltz Across Texas" Carl

Day Dreaming, WOW!!!

Carl,
Just watched it. I'm blown away, beautiful and that string bend is something else. For an old guy coming back to steel, that opened my eyes. Just great. DS
